I think Blender 3.0 has an asset browser exactly for this kind of thing but with previous versions the best thing that you can do is import them from a previous model via the append function which can be a bit fiddly when you don't pay attention to each model's scale. :oops:

Meanwhile... I'd forgotten how tricky it is to set up the foot IK system. :pout:

But only temporarily. :)
To do it properly I need to create another disconnected bone to act as the target. When your target is connected to a parent bone it creates a kind of feedback loop in the armature that makes it look like the Yeti is having a fit when you pose him. :lol:

I'd really like a system that would automatically bend the toes too but that's way too complicated so I'll just stick to manually rotating them and hope it doesn't look too bad. :dry:

But we'll forget about the attempted walking animation that got him over there. :paranoid:

 

Need a bit more learning plus trial and error. :aha:

Maybe that solves the mystery of how people find individual Yeti footprints but never manage to find a whole track of them leading to the Yeti that made them

EDIT: Should have turned the hairs off for the thumbnail test. This is taking forever. :unsure:

EDIT 2: I haven't even enabled the physics either. The full size one is going to be loooong. :(
