I would take it for granted that you'd need to sit on your horse to fast travel by horse... I'm just thinking I ought to have tried it already... But I guess I never did...

Edit: I have now tried, and it does indeed work  

Then I went after a dragon I spotted in the distance and as I got off the horse, the game froze. Just as well, really, as I need to run some errands.... starting with the laundry room at 3 pm... 

Odd, I normally sit on the horse if it's with me when I use the fast travel and it never worked for me. Maybe I wasn't on the horse 

Don't forget to tell everyone how Youtube works at the end of every Youtube video in case they have forgotten how it works in the five minute they watched your video 

Maybe one has to watch the youtube video before it works...

Edit: or maybe the horse has some sort of limit too (and we were way too encumbered when we tried it before?), although why it should be different from when slow travelling, beats me.  

I have a bug!
And it carries things! (grumpily)

 I have two, and they stand in doorways leaving you stuck in rooms struggling to get out. And they prevent me climbing my own stairs. And they are incredibly slow and take forever to catch up. 

Yes! And Lydia doesn't like it so she keeps her distance, so instead it's the bug that keeps pushing me whenever I stop somewhere

And they make a constant noise

I know nothing about these bugs.

Don't worry... I found a fort, whish seemed eerily empty until I had entered, gone through the interior and exited at the top of a tower. Turned out there were scoundrels in the area, only they didn't guard the place very well and I managed to pick most of them off from their own tower. In spite of Lydia trying to occupy the same space as me. Anyway, we explored the place, went through another tower and out onto a secluded outdoor area and.... both Lydia and bug stayed there. I just could not get them back through the door with me. So I had to explore the rest of the place myself (and I'm pretty sure I missed at least one area ) and then leave completely over encumbered, get myself safely to a road, dump all the stuff and fast travel back, because I had no idea where the horse was. At this point we were all together again and just had to find our way to the road and place on the road where I had dumped everything.

I now have two bugs too!
And found a note on how they worried the bug might eat them in their sleep

I also found a group of imperial soldiers who must have passed the bandit camp to get to where they were. I wonder if they're in cahoots?
