*just did a x2 sneak attack on.... Lydia*

I swear it looked like a big beardy bandit type of person!

Did that twice to Arissa the other day. And mine are x3.0. Glad she can't die.

I have now destroyed those heavy Dwemer boots and used the sneaky enchantment on some lighter footwear to create the Boots Of Silent Fascination.
And I wore them to sneak around and commit fraud.
Also tried to sell some of my equally well-named enchanted weapons to lighten the load on my herd of horses but Moth didn't want to pay much.
Maybe I should have waited for his sister to wake up and go to work but she did once send thugs to beat me up so she probably wouldn't have paid better no matter what masque I was wearing.

I'm intrigued by these "Ewoks" that I've yet to encounter.

I wanted to sell a valuable staff the other day (figured it wasn't the kind of spell I'd use anyway, whatever it was). I went to a local mage who'd pay almost 1600 for it. Except she didn't have that much. I had to buy a bunch of stuff off of her first so she could afford it.

And now... I'm over encumbered again. I came across a place where all the undead kept apologizing for attacking me. Not sure why they would, as they were all bandits before they were undead and presumably would care very little for me. Anyway, over encumbered and... should I dump stuff and fast travel or should I take the horsey and go the slow way to... either Solitude or Whiterun. Whiterun is farther but maybe safer. Maybe. Well, I guess it all depends on whether I find a traversable road at all...

How do you get 3x sneak attack? Higher sneaksies? Or higher archery skills?

Aren't you supposed to be able to fast travel on your own horse while over-encumbered.

I think it's the sneak perk tree. Maybe.
My sneaky bow attack is x3 but my sneaky one-handed dagger attack is x15!

I'm not sure I even tried, I might have just assumed you can't even on horseback... I guess I'll have to try some day. In case I didn't already...

I just added the stagger effect to my archery, and looked at the speech and pick pocket skills and learned some new things (as in, learned what you could get, not new skills, because I was out of skill points) but I didn't check the sneaky tree. I'll have to do that too, next time I play. Just quit the game for today. After avoiding (or running into) bandits, saber tooths, mammoths, skeletons and a distant dragon, selling all my loot, and then being attacked by a "challenger" in central Whiterun, and selling that loot too. Not that it was much. But for now, Lydia and I are sat by the fire pit, for a moment of contemplation. I'd have gotten a screenshot but the herbs in the ceiling or the fire pit itself kept being in the way.... Besides, Lydia looked a bit sullen, anyway.

You can't fast travel at all if you are over encumbered.

As I've said before I'm no expert on fast travel, I just walk everywhere and occasionally take carriages (which can't be done when carrying too much) but...



EDIT: Just tried it and it does indeed work.

Well this evenings adventuring has been far more satisfactory than yesterdays misery. I am thane again along with a new housecarl-man. I been cured of my... urges  and,  after the trauma of losing my dog about ten minutes after I acquired him, I have now happily got not one, but two new dogs. Even better is the fact that these new dogs are so slow that they are in less danger of blindly running into enemies on some insane banzai mission and getting themselves killed, unlike Dog, who would charge in regardless of being told to wait. 

 

We have all retired back at home in front of a warm fire where we casually ignore our housecarl in Riften living in an empty house with no heating, and our new housecarl-man who is currently homeless and eating a loaf of bread at the Jarls place.

Uh, I missed the part on HOW to fast travel while over encumbered because he talked too fast. All I noticed was purple flames on the horse and then he said "Subscribe!"

And those two new dogs seem to have a lot of extra legs. I had found their whereabouts that week that got lost when I had to get the murder mystery working. Which is annoying because I recently figured that since I found them so long ago, it should now, several levels later, be fairly easy to do the quests... But then I found that I haven't found them which means the bandits involved will be the same level as me, anyway.

Maybe I should go find them again and then run off.... for another few levels.

Edit: I listened again and maybe he's just saying "you can now fast travel even if over encumbered"? There's a bit before that, which I really can't make out. Something about a spell? But it seemed to be a horse OR that spell thingy, so I'm confused. 

You need to be sat on your horse when you activate the map.
I tried it and fast travelled from Markarth all the way to Riften whilst carrying too much.

The spell he's talking about is a different thing. That's a spooky horse that you can summon from anywhere. I haven't got to that bit yet so don't worry about it.
