All this talk of storage space lead to to check my own and see that my docs/storage hard drive only had 170gb left out of 2tb  so I've just had a clear out and got back about 600gb of free space. It would be nice if uninstalled things were actually uninstalled instead of leaving them there

I'm guessing you guys don't have laptops...

That's just the storage drive and the place where my backups and games are installed. My C drive is a 1tb SSD. Then I have a 4gb network drive which I store a load of things like films, an image library, music, software backups and so on that I can access from other devices. My other computer has a 256gb SSD (that came from this machine a few months back as I was running out of space) and two hard drives, 1tb, and 500gb.

One can never have enough storage space to fill up with junk.

Watch out for those screenshot folders. They can be surprisingly massive.

There's that too. I usually keep an eye on those and delete them every so often. Earlier I deleted most of the screenshots from Skyrim which dumps them in the main install directory.

Don't cry for screenshots. I'm sure he can take more.

I get rather annoyed at the ones that save as PNGs just to take up more space.
And then there's my WItcher 3 screenshots. First I began playing it on GeForceNow, which saved in one folder, then later installed it and now the screenshots I take during gameplay go into another folder nested somewhere in steamapps but if I take them with Ansel then they go into a THIRD different folder. They're all over the place.

But back to games, I did, for a few minutes, get to finally play a bit of Mortal Shell very late last night. And took a screenshot.

 

Plays a bit like Lords Of The Fallen with its slow, heavy combat and oversized swords. And I died several times during the tutorial.
The shell concept is a nice idea but the mysterious positioning of savepoints always irritates me.

I was crying because I can't even count how much space Banj has and my comp has about 450 Gb (35 free, currently) and I have one external drive of about 240 Gb (slightly over 100 free).

And a few old USB sticks....

Don't get me started on counting my USB sticks too!

I'm not sure how this happened but it's where I'll stop for today... (and look, Skyrim saves as png...)
