 Horse is dead, long live new (free) Horse 

I have now brought Lydia over the traps and tried and died a fourth time...

I'm not sure how to best handle this (I know whom to kill, it's just I don't seem to be able to before I'm very dead)

You found a free horse that doesn't walk away? I've noticed I can't "steal" the Riften horses, but I assumed they'd just walk back home when I got off them...

No... I was thinking I should hold off on any thieveries until Mjoll was definitely a possible follower...

Anyway it WAS a staff I was after, although the wikis say there's a sword and doesn't mention the staff... and after dying a fifth time, I gave up and left. It took ages just to get out again even though I'm only slightly over encumbered and that was only for the last bit... and now I'm considering whether to drop stuff somewhere so I can fast travel or whether to just slow travel somewhere and if so, where, as I am miles from any traders...

And now I'm greatly over-encumbered. Even with my magic carrying boots, bracers, ring, necklace, Thieves outfit, two followers and six horses with 800 carry weight each.
Guess it's gonna be a slow walk back down those steps through that big facey door.

At least that annoying Forsworn woman with the deadly ice spikes is dead now and won't get to kill me ... again.

I noticed such a set in a chest in their lair, but didn't take it because I figured that wouldn't be nice...




Have you ever considered unloading those horses when you stop by one of your numerous homes?

Well, it wasn't stealing cos the little red hand wasn't next to it.

Anyway, I managed to get Ria to ditch the outfit she was wearing and got her to put on the full set, which helped me a little bit but she now looks cooler than me.
I also abandoned some stuff I didn't really need but kept hold of some Dwemer muffling boots. They're criminally heavy but I want to destroy them and learn that enchantment cos it'll be great for sneaking and I'll obviously use it on some lighter footwear that's easier to carry.
And after all that loot fiddling I've made it to Markarth where my manly house man was doing some cooking...

And while I'm in the area I have to go and commit some kind of financial fraud somewhere.

EDIT: Oh, and I've just remembered to claim that free shooty zombie thing on Gog!

I found two better bows today. First a glass bow which was somewhat better than what I already had and then an ebony bow which was considerably better. But since Lydia's probably a better shot and she has the ebony armour and other ebony weapons anyway, I let her have that bow and kept the glass bow for myself. It weighs less and matches my glass armour after all.

Unfortunately Lydia's gear is so heavy she's really not that much help carrying things. Maybe I should make sure she has a carry weight trinket or two... when I can get my hands on that enchantment

Well, I wasn't planning on staying up until midnight but I see I almost did anyway, so I guess I might as well. It's not like I'm gonna fall asleep once the neighbours get cracking with the firecrackers or worked up about their fireworks, you know.
