Hacked!

The site is back online again following a hacking. On Wednesday 1st of July it was discovered that the site had been hacked using a vulnerability in the text editor plugin we use. This vulnerability allows the hacker to upload script files to the site to do whatever hacking people like to do. After examining the log files it was determined that the first instance of the attack occurred on the 10th of June, and continued for several days after that. The backdoor was patched and the files uploaded to the site were removed on Wednesday evening. I decided the best option was to close the site and restore everything from a backup taken prior to the invasion in order to be sure that nothing was missed. This took a little longer than it should have done, but as far as I am aware the site is working and the forum posts are retained and up to date.

I would recommend that everyone change their passwords as a precautionary measure. Let me know if you discover any issues with the operation of the site.

I don't know exactly what the scripts uploaded actually did. To change your password, go to your account settings and there's a couple of text fields for current password and new password, enter into those and save the changes
