"To open a master lock, save your game before trying and decide how many picks to sacrifice before reloading your save" (and also "listen for the click" which I hardly ever hear - I think that tip helped me twice in total)

(Admittedly I did try last time I went past, and failed several times, but still)

I have 174 lockpicks.
It was awful when I had to leave them behind for a while for story reasons. It felt like I was missing my hand.

And thanks for the tip. I will continue sneaking past Faldar's Tooth as well!

I'm on my second fast trip back to Whiterun to unload the loot. But I think I only have the boss and some of his closest henchmen still to go, so I'll probably try to get him tomorrow. He did kill me awfully fast earlier today, though.

Now how exactly do you be the sneaky assassin whilst wearing only a towel?

 

And where the hell do I store my loot?
Well, it didn't stop me looting so he must have stored it somewhere. Prison pocket?
The assassinating went OK but the escape was a little tougher until I worked out a plan.

Then later I worked out how to be really sneaky...
Two towels!
 

And this is now a new outfit that I can wear outside too.

Today's not my day in Skyrim.
I returned to Faldar's Tooth to take on the bandit leader, and before I reached his tower I used up a poison potion for my weapon plus a berserker potion for myself, charged in and oops... next tower. Charged onwards as fast as I could and... just a wolf and a dead bunny. But I SWEAR I heard voices shortly before. Stupid bandit leader must have fled. Or his. But I got his gold. So there.

Moving on and .... DRAGON. And I've got neither protection or weapons good enough to take the silly thing on. I guess I can hope for Lydia to distract it while I run
But there seem to be an awful lot more dragons in Skyrim that you ever implied Val I mean, you always seem to see one yonder in the distance, at least first. I don't see them until they land on my head.

Dragon acts funny. Dragon doesn't really act at all. Dragon looks dead.


Ok, so I didn't actually manage to take more than one shot and that one probably missed and Lydia and Riften's guards did all the work, but still! A dead dragon! And I didn't get singed at all!
