My internet connection must be mortally wounded or something... In over 1 hour I've not even been able to get through 2 pages of home mods - while I haven't wanted to check all of them out, the images are loading terribly slowly... Some won't load at all. And it's bedtime. I shall awaken feeling well rested. (as if)

I was just talking to these two Vigilants Of Stendarr when Ri'saad and his friends wandered past on their way to Markarth from Whiterun.
Should I walk with them?
Actually, no. I'm going the other way after eventually getting that Giant.
It was a bit trickier than I'd hoped. I tried hitting him with an arrow then calming the Mammoths with Kyne's Peace but that didn't work. Tried to get them to fight for me with a nice "Raan!" shout but things got complicated when another wolf joined in the fight, I even got launched into the sky once with a swing of his club....

 

...and that hasn't happened for ages. Also my followers where complicating things further so in the end I told them to stay by the road and went for the patient, stalking solo-hunter tactic. I had to wait quite a while until he was a sufficient distance from his hairy bodyguards and then got to take him down with arrows.

Also I'm glad I bumped into those Stendarr people cos they owed me a reward for some previous vampire killing. And what did I get?
Couple of potions, couple of scrolls and ... another Amulet Of Mara??
That's my third one now. How many times do they think I want to get married? 

Anyway, I'm off now because I've got some goodies for Ysolda again, I'll see if I can catch her in time for a late night drink at the Bannered Mare.

Also, yes, I did meet with the khajit as they were leaving Whiterun, which was fortunate as it was just after I killed the dragon and relieved all of the dead soldiers of their belongings, so I was over encumbered... and then I wasn't

She features in a couple of later quests that are started elsewhere and you end up being able to sell her certain things.

I see. Well... I'm at home with another headache, and while gaming isn't ideal, nor using the computer during day time when I can't see anything in Skyrim, I've played anyway. I had a bit of an issue when Lydia decided to go after a dragon all by herself while I was trying to get her to follow me inside a bandit hide-out instead. I don't think I can take down a dragon, my archer skills are terrible. Well, eventually she joined me by an entrance more or less by accident, so we got inside.

I had a bounty quest to kill a bandit leader and well, he dropped dead in about 2 seconds flat, and I wouldn't even know I got the leader if there wasn't a bit of text to let me know. The bounty was a measly 100 coins, too. Though I guess I made a bit more from the loot. Then I got Amren's family sword back. And I just wiped the bandits from the grey something fort. I'm considering going to Riften for a fishing holiday, but I was also invited over to Falkreath which IS closer...

First I have to fetch the rest of the loot from that fort, though. Before Agnes steals it from me

Those darned imperial soldier took over and set up head quarters right in the room where I stored my stash!

I haven't even cleared that Fort out yet.
I must sneak past the bandits every time.

Refusing to dwell on my losses, I decided to go on that fishing trip to Riften. What a den of iniqck, ineck, in erm... well, anyway. I know I was supposed to join the Thieves guild to get that gem appraised by Vex, but I ended up clearing the "Ratway" of crooks instead. And of some lunatics, I think. I did let a couple live (one was behind a door he refused to open...) but I'm afraid Lydia showed no mercy to the poor deaf (but noisy) woman who clearly was insane.

And then I accidentally started clearing another fort, I forget it's name, but I came across it while trying to find sunny fishing spots for that elusive goldfish. Although, in this latter fort, I only took out the outside bandits. Then I had to do some fast travel back to Whiterun to be able to get rid of the loot before I got.... over encumbered...
