Does it happen in the same place every time?

No, it shuts down and then when I try to play again I continue from the last save and play for a bit and save a few more times and then it happens again, so I'm further ahead. And this last time I just pretended not to see the woman who was talking before and figured I can let her rant some other day... I'm supposed to get south of there after all... but I keep running in to trolls and bandits and wolves.

I never had an issue with it, other than the occasional low frame rate due to my old PC.
Blame Windows 11.

I'm starting to suspect I got a PC with a dodgy battery or something. It's had a hard time colling down since day one and also been really slow at things like opening the Explorer..

It's early morning on day two of Disco Elysium and I've finally got to the body and completed the autopsy. I probably should have done this important thing on the first day but I got a bit distracted from the actual investigation and instead did the normal video game things of exploring the world, finding hats and occasionally having arguments with my thoughts. It wasn't until the end-of-day debrief with my partner, when he expressed his own disappointment at my choices, that I realised that I really should have focused more on the body.
But now it's done, despite the constant annoyance of those kids, although I think I may have missed something when examining the throat. I'd really like to put the body in a nearby fridge until I get another opportunity to examine it but none of the local shops want to put it in with their frozen foods for some reason.

I'm also about to talk to the union boss now that he's actually in his funny little office. He'd already gone home by the time I found it yesterday thanks to the time I wasted listening to that thug's long and complicated theories on race.

One area where progress isn't being made is money. It may only be 10am but I'm still way, way short of the amount I need to pay the advance rent for my room tonight. Maybe I should sell one of my hats?

I've been playing it on GeforceNow for the past few days but today decided to launch my installed version instead and... Wish I'd stuck to GFN.

Oof, that went well.
Almost killed myself in an uncomfortable chair. And then everything deteriorated when I realised that he's way ahead of me and knows far too much about ... everything. (Well... not everything. )

Oh, he's disappointed in my choices again. Sorry. Never mind.

At least I've made some progress with acquiring some money. Now I'll definitely have somewhere to sleep tonight.
And all I needed to sell was... What did I sell again?
