Eh. I installed Enderal and while doing that I started a new Skyrim character (it was so long since I actually played I don't really remember what the old ones were up to anyway )

It's a very long time since I last played Enderal. I'll probably have to restart it when I return to it due to not being able to remember much.
But I remember that it had a great theme tune and I always had to listen all the way through before starting the game.

I started playing Enderal and that was... an odd start. Then a voice started droning on and on about something and I could barely hear anything over the noise of my computer so I made the mistake of trying to alt-tab to do something else until he was done talking which of course froze the game and wouldn't let me out of it without restarting the computer.

So now I probably lost the progress in that game too. And considering the time I should probably just go to bed instead. Those that monologue go on for very long? I just don't have the patience for anything that keeps me from actually PLAYING.

Maybe if I go to bed, things will feel better tomorrow and I can get back to building dollhouse furniture. (with simple flat colours where I only adjust roughness and shininess and use no nodes whatsoever... )

I also remember it starting oddly. You were a child going to see "daddy" and he was whistling that creepy-but-good Fleshless song that plays during creepy bits later (the original soundtrack is one of the highlights of the game which is unusual as fanmade mods usually don't bother too much with that) then there was a fire or something and then you weren't a child anymore and there was lots of exposition that I didn't understand. Then afterwards there was a shipwreck, I think, and the more familiar part of the game begins.
I played it for a good few hours and I recall getting to the city of Ark and acquiring a pathetic donkey to ride.
It is pretty good if you stick with it although the design of some of the quests is a little clunky. I recall a couple of frustrating ones that were like a hidden object game where you had to locate a specific item in a room with lots of clutter and a couple of occasions when you had to jump and run like a platform game which that engine was never designed for.

Meanwhile I was planning to continue my long walk in Death Stranding tonight but instead got sidetracked by The Crew and one particular challenge that was a movie chase scene in a cop car. I'd bought the cop car to specifically unlock these events and was immediately frustrated by how tricky it was. It took so many attempts that I was very sick of hearing that woman's voice at the start saying the same thing over and over again as I retried.
"Remember to smile at the camera as you ran them." Shut up!
Eventually I did manage to run all the baddies off the road in the required time and rewarded myself by buying another bike for the street races

Well, I've tried playing again and it has made my comp shut down 3 times. Or was it 2? I lose count easily.

...and again.

...and again. And why does it always happen in one of those looooong conversations? The people in Enderal talk almost as much as those interesting NPCs

I suspect that something is wrong

Maybe I should try reinstalling Enderal? No other game makes the computer shut down quite so quickly...
