Final release date for Subnautica: Below Zero is May 14th.

In case anyone but me is interested (and didn't already know)....

Does that mean you can now finally commit to playing it properly? :)

It means I can do that after the 14th of May :p

I read it in a news post about an update that mentioned newly added stuff that I would have to "go back for". So I'm thinking I'll once again try to stay away until the final release and start over then.

Congratulations on your patience. Again.
They really should have a special Achievement for that.

I'm now off to the forge to make some nails and fittings for my house. To the Forge!

OK. Who forgot to bring the iron?
It was me, wasn't it?
:brb:

OK, made all the iron stuff and made the extra-extra trip for the corundrum that I'd also forgotten and now I can carry on building... until I run out of lumber. :(

Off to the nearest sawmill then.
I would have taken a screenshot of me hauling logs around while Hod watched without helping but after all those extra trips it was completely dark by then.
But my house is coming along with some fittings. I went inside to have nice look and-
Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house????

Call the police! Someone's trying to cook an illegal meal!

Oh wait. That's Rayya, isn't it? My steward from Falkreath. I'd forgotten about her.
Sorry. Just make yourself comfortable. :)

Unfortunately there's no bed yet and I need some straw to make that. And without wishing to sound stupid... where the hell do you get straw? :dunno:

Maybe that ditch Geralt fell into... Wrong country? sorry...

(And I don't think I could get that achievement since I did succumb and play again a while back... but I guess Banj would qualify. And he cares about achievements....)

Edit: decided to get the "real" house flipper game as opposed to the free mobile version that makes me feel all cross-eyed after playing... I'm currently downloading the 2.7 Gb of game at about.... 1.5 Mb/s. Is it just me or is that way too slow?

Edit2: And I just realised that Valheim is made by a 5 person studio located about an hour's drive from here :P (There's also education in "the gaming industry" there - the news article I was reading didn't specify but if I remember correctly it's programming and animation.... probably not art...)

Edit3, correction: 2D-grafik, 3D-grafik, animation, design, game writing, ljud, musik eller programmering
(I think most of that is similar enough to English... ljud=audio, "game writing" IS English)

Edit4: and my download continues at the whopping speed of 0.1 Mb/s...

Apparently you have to buy straw rather than harvesting it from a ... straw ... thing.
I'll see if Belethor has some next time I'm near his shop.

My game downloads/installs usually happen at about 5MB/s
1.5 sounds OK but 0.1 doesn't. :nope:
I guess it's dependent on their traffic as well as your connection.

And if the Valheim developers are so close then maybe you could pop round and ask them to optimize their frame rates a bit more. :)

Well I had to stop using my computer as well as my phone for it to pick up towards 2-3 Mb/s.
It's now downloaded (and I'm awake again after falling asleep with my cats...) and I'm going to find out if the free DLC's that I can't actually find download links for are included in the main download.

As for those game developers, apparently there are some 30 companies (if I remember correctly, after all I read this a few hours ago...) with 200 employees in total. Wish they'd give me a job but considering the amount of well educated fresh students that's also produced there yearly, someone like me doesn't really stand a chance :P

And if any of those companies are looking for smeary-edged, 2D art of characters with no hands then I'm here for them. :P
