I'm glad I didn't invest any effort or money into seeing it and waited for somebody to lend me a DVD because I thought it was a pretty poor film in general.

I never invest money in movies anymore, it's not my fault, it's the industry's...

Also I think the next movie is supposed to be darker and larger, so hopefully it will be better, unless there is no hope.

was that the one before the battle of three armies? I think the last hobbit movie was a bit dull... like, mostly battling and for no good reason. But I guess that's what wars are like... Sorry for any spoilers :P

As far as I can recall I rather liked the first one. :) But then that was mainly because I tried to recognise the actors behind the dwarves... Also I remember enjoying the sneak peek of Smaug. :cheer:

Strangely, for many years I thought that Ken Stott would have made a good Bilbo Baggins if they were to make an adaptation of The Hobbit, and then they do and they cast him in it... as a dwarf. :blink:
