Is this a GoG thing?
The only time I've had issues with saves is when I play a game on GFN and also play it on my own PC. On those occasions the cloud saves don't match with the local saves on my hard drive and the launcher then asks me which ones I want to use.

Yeah it's a GOG bug, but I figured since I don't launch via GOG and don't use my own cloud they'd need to actually disappear at some point. Apparently not. I guess GOG is attaching their games to some sort of ghost dimension.

I don't launch any of my games through the launchers and I disable them from the Windows startup, but they end up running in the background anyway when the games start.

I know. I think I mentioned finally getting myself a steam account, and while I've never purchased or played anything on there, I always have to watch it pop up and try to connect to the internet, first thing when I start my computer... there was something else that I did manage to set to not run on start up, but I can't recall what. Or maybe it was steam and it didn't take hold... no it was Epic, because I think it running immediately and then sometimes not managing to connect was the reason I kept having to sign in every other day...

Thank you. I believe I had looked for those settings but not found them. I now found them and changed them. And turned cloud saves off for steam too, just in case.

I preferred the older Steam when it used to launch "quietly" whenever a game ran. Since that recent redesign whenever I click on a Steam game on my desktop the store launches first in full screen then the special offers popup appears on top and I have to quickly close them all before I can actually play something.

That was good fun running round the Starved Plain amidst a crowd of other people with the same idea trying to kill the same army of Spectral baddies.
Filled soooo many soul gems and I now have a bag full of ectoplasm to sell to the nearest merchant.

As leader of the Dark Brotherhood and listener to the prune mother in the box. I'm not sure I like the sound of all this murderising without my permission when I'm not in receipt of any money for it. I'll be sending Cicero or creepy vampire girl around to take care of things immediately.
