It's quite a tricky place to get away from due to the lack of nearby roads. The best way is to go to Solitude but I don't really like swimming that much and if I try to walk the other way to Morthal or Dawnstar I seem to encounter some areas with dodgy Navmesh where followers seem to get stuck.
I may stick with Faendal for the moment while I clear up that pirate quest that takes you to Dawnstar.

That's the shameless, money grabbing gambling thing that plagues most online games and should be banned.
Anyway I was given two crates as one of the login rewards so I summoned Pacrooti, or whatever he's called, and got him to deal me the gift cards and...
It was mostly rubbish that I didn't want.
There was one thing that appeared interesting to me (a particular dye stamp) but upon further investigation you could only use it if you had the paid monthly subscribtion.
So I traded all the unwanted items for a handful of Crown Gems. Whatever they are.
*goes off to google the possible uses of Crown Gems*

I have learned, this very day, that my incredibly messy and bloated save games list is due to me using racemenu - every time you use it, you have to give your character's name to close it (some menus in this game really should have cancel buttons), and that saves your character as a "new" character. So I had multiple save "trees" for the same people and for some reason the newest are often towards the bottom of the list instead the top. So today I got a mod for that, that might work or might cause CTD, it seems to vary between users... And I also deleted some 3300 save files
I saw a comment about how the amount of save files doesn't matter as you only use one at a time, and "I have 11 MB in my saves folder".... Well, I had over 1 GB and with my computer running out of space and me not being able to decide on a new one just now, I kind of needed to empty it
I'm also trying to figure out how to get SSEEdit to work before I even try to install Creation Kit. Seems that once again, having your game via GOG makes everything trickier than necessary... Maybe I should just cave, get a Steam account, and buy the game again, from there. It's a small cost compared to the new computer I intend to get eventually, anyway.

Burglary postponed while I rearrange food into different storage, and try to place things on the dinner table and have them stand up properly

And which/where is the command line in SSEEdit??? (I see fixes for my problem but have no idea how to apply them... *sigh*)
For standing things up, console might be a bit of use... Open console, click item, type (pressing "Return" after each row)
setangle x 0
setangle y 0
setscale 1
You might need to set the height too though or they'll end up in or above the table and then fall about anyway once they decide to correct themselves. For that it's useful to know your own location along the z axis, so type
player.getpos z
and then the table would be somewhere between 60-80 cm higher than the result you get, I think. Possibly 60-100... You might need to try a few times. If you want to bother at all.
Edit: So I basically googled "where the heck is that command line" (not quite), and found out that what I was supposed to do was put the line of code into the target field of the properties window of the shortcut to the exe. Clear as day.
I think that's enough trying to be brainy for one day. I did just have like a 36 hour migraine, after all. I think I'll go play now.
Edit 2: Or maybe I should make me some dinner.

Something else that doesn't make sense.... I went to see Balimund because I was supposed to run an errand (my vampire is getting a bit fed up with running errands for everyone...) and there's a thief in his house. Sitting by the fire drinking beer....
Balimund's apprentice is there too, and doesn't seem to mind the thief at all. And the thief isn't hostile, though seem to be slightly wounded... I am considering killing him, but I don't want to get a bounty for it...
Also, I have no idea where Balimund himself is.
