So much for finding the thing to defeat Alduin. It turns out that I had the thing to do a thing that lead to a thing to do another thing which in turn requires me to do a thing.   Dragons can be quite annoying 

EDIT - And just as I was about to deal with a dragon "cough - oh I found you, I have a message here... oh where is it..." Erm, could you hurry up there's a dragon behind me murdering everyone 

Well I sent Borgakh away, with the necessary clothes this time, and told Faendal to tag along with me and even in our opening conversation he already seems half dead just from the wood chopping he was doing before...

 

I hope he has a better recovery when fighting.

And inspired by Banj I also had a go at the ice block shout.
I had to unlock the final word first. I had discovered it previously but I never really bother with the ones I don't use. I was also surprised to find that I had 30 Dragon souls waiting to do their thing.
And so I soon turned a frost troll into an ice cube and then started chipping away at it with my axe.

I tried to think of some temperature-based witticism to say at it but... it's still too warm for gaming.

I believe I have just finished the main questline of Skyrim. I guess I just have to finish off some sidequesty things and that's it

Or with different mods.

Or like me, try to play about 7 different characters at once. It gets a bit hard to keep track, but at least I don't manage to finish anything.

I still have 3 of those dragon dude masks to find

EDIT much much later - Never mind, I went and obtained the missing masks. Somehow I had been to the necessary locations but hadn't actually entered gone in and cleared them for whatever reason 

While working through that recent, long-winded treasure hunt quest I stumbled upon an unlocked chest in the middle of nowhere that was completely unrelated to the treasure I was looking for.
Inside there was only a single item... a very high level weapon.
After a bit of thought I think it might have been unlocked by another player and the loot spawned at their level but maybe they didn't have enough inventory space to take it along with everything else. So I guess it's their weapon really.
I took it obviously.
But, equally obviously, I was unable to use it. My pirate disguised chap is only level 10 and the elf is at 18 but this weapon was level 50 and had an even larger CP rating.
(I should point out that I don't really understand the Champion Point CP thing apart from the fact I don't seem to have them. )

Anyway I've been wondering what to do with this thing for a couple of days now as it's taking up one of my precious inventory slots. I'm not keeping it cos it'll be years before I'm able to use it. I could sell it but the normal merchants are only willing to offer 80 gold, which seems absurdly low. I could definitely get much more on the Guild Markets but I still haven't joined a Trading guild.
So maybe I should deconstruct it to get some high level materials. Or perhaps research it to understand what traits it has.

So now I've destroyed this high level item and don't even have anything to show from it.

It still destroyed the item!? Gee, I knew you should have just sold it and taken the gold....

And I forgot to login on Sunday and missed out on the daily rewards of Alliance Points.
And I don't really understand what Alliance Points are either.

Thankfully it hasn't messed up the later rewards this month cos there's another 5k gold coming up and some Chaurus Egg earrings too.
