Is there anything they don't own?

They don't own Activision Blizzard... yet.

A few years ago they suddenly realised that Sony had games on their Playstation console, and thought that maybe they should also have games on their own XBox console (other than Minecraft and Call of Duty) so that people would have a reason to buy one, so they went on a spending spree and bought up loads of game developers. One of those companies was Zenimax, who had previously purchased Bethesda.

I don't like it when companies buy each other. Except if one would go kaput if they didn't get bought. I can forgive that... I think.

I'm suddenly reminded of that little poem/quote:

                  "That money talks I'll not deny. I heard it once. It said, Goodbye."

So I claimed my 25k gold... and I think almost 90% of it has gone already.
But my bank is a bit more comfortable and my own inventory slots are now at 120. I did then waste another 270 gold by buying a recipe I already know.
Didn't need the recipe. I need the ingredients!
Now where the hell can I find yeast??
I don't like the provisioning writs. I never have the necessary things. I should really make a note of which Guild Traders sell this kind of stuff.
I'm doing better with the Enchanting jobs now that I've worked out which of the many (MANY) runes I need to combine. I've also ditched the ones I don't need for the jobs and that's freed up more bank space. I may also ditch all the Weapon/Armour Trait materials that I keep acquiring (that's what's currently filling my chest at the moment.) So far I haven't had any real need for them (even though I have been researching them at the crafting stations) and I don't think they're relevant to the jobs I'm currently getting. But I am wary of selling stuff that I'll Immediately need soon after.

I'm pretty sure someone already did. And probably posted it online, too.  

Elf woman has just trailed all around both Dhalmora and Ebonheart and all the Guild Traders were Yeast-less. And only one had any Blessed Thistle for my alchemy writ but they were wanting 3.5k for a bulk buy.
I'll have to see if the big guy on the other side of the continent can find some in Daggerfall and ship it through the bank again.

How many free characters can you make? (I'm guessing you can buy character slots with real money?)

There are eight character slots that you can use but if you later decide you don't like what you created then there are initially only three chances to delete a character. The "real money" option buys you more delete tokens. There are also other tokens you can get to change a characters appearance/class.

...oh, and I did some stealing in a public place. And it was terrifying!

F5 is greatly missed.

 

I did find one Trader in Stros M'Kai that had some but it was another bulk buy for over a grand. I was tempted but let it go and then got involved in a side quest to rescue some people and as I sneaked through a pirate camp in yet-another-disguise I found this lovely, lovely barrel.
