Well if it makes you feel better, whenever someone tried to talk to me in GW2 I either ran away or closed the chat window so I couldn't see any chat attempts...
I did actually join up with someone once or twice just to take down a big spider or something (that's the one thing I remember) but nothing more.

I also read a couple of reviews and it seems it's not quite what people wanted. Good but not great, or something like that.

But I do remember silently tagging along with a large group of Germans waiting for one of the big fights.
I haven't got anywhere near the group events in ESO yet so I don't know how they work. I'm a bit concerned about how people in groups usually play specific roles like Healer or Tank or whatever the hell that is.
Last night I was pleasantly surprised to see that your houses/rooms seem to be available to all your characters. When I went to furnish the room with the bed and chest the option to travel to the other guy's room was also there.
Not sure if the chest is shared though seeing as it's a levelling reward.
And yes, I've seen lots of people arguing about Starfield already. It's all rather tiring the way discussion gets so polarised with new releases. Makes me glad I can only play older games.

I think I might like it but it sounds like I'd miss all those little surprises that makes Skyrim fun and different for each playthrough. The first review I read, said that the main questline is kind of repetitive, but he made a second character that just ignored the main quests and lived a life of crime. It seemed doable. But I rarely want to play the criminal... And he didn't mention any other available possibilities.

While searching for the last Dwemer artefact in the little baddie pirate town I made sure my fat fellow was wearing the baddie pirate disguise so that none of those baddies attacked me.
I was then treated to the amusing scene where every single player in the area tried to attack me at the same time.
At least they had an excuse this time.
I then got a bit stuck on a treasure hunt so I quit and did a switcheroo to Skyrim where the most difficult challenge now is the slightly different keymapping. Must press TAB not ALT. Must press TAB not ALT.
*shouts in the middle of town*
And it's not Z to put weapons away.
Once I'd retrained myself again I attempted to steal the log book from that woman who suddenly insists on sitting right next to her logbook once the quest starts.
Go on. Stand up. Don't you need to stretch your legs a little bit? Please?
I tried to throw my voice across the room to tempt her out of the chair but she wasn't really interested in investigating whoever was shouting "Melon nose" and "Skeever butt".
*waits patiently*

And I think it's funny how the guards come up to you and ask you not to shout in public, because it scares people, you see.
For ESO you really need to try /laugh next time someone attacks you. Hopefully you have an evil maniacal laugh that makes everyone even more convinced you're a boss who'll be killable once a cut scene is finished, or something.

Seems Jarl Siddgeir is having a disco...
I've no idea which mod does this. I only just saw it now/today and the only new mod is the more informative console. I can't really see that one changing all the dust motes to green beams....
But if this persists everywhere I guess I'll have to try uninstalling it and then if that doesn't help, woohoo, I'll have about 200 mods to go through by now.
Edit: It was the More Informative Console. It also completely messed up the map (the clouds over the map turned into colourful streaks of pink and minty green). Which sucks, since that one could tell me item IDs without Val's help

I might have exaggerated a bit, though. The load order says something like 160. Then again, there are a few that don't show up as a tick box in the mod list (the console one was unfortunately one of those or I could have just enabled/disabled it when I needed it - though I'd still need to quit and restart, I think and the installing/uninstalling is almost as fast as ticking a box, so, I guess there's not that much difference...).
