Continued struggles with Nifskope has taught me two things today:
1) Blender seems to lose the collision geometry when exporting nifs... (not good, since it seems to be an absolute f-ing pain to get them back in Nifskope)
and 2) Nifs do have double vertices along seams and needs that for uv-mapping to function.

oh and edit, 3: I can't seem to rename anything or change the coordinates of vertices in nifskope. Or rather, I CAN change the vertices, but nothing whatsoever actually seems to happen when I do.  

edit 2, point 4 - Apparently I didn't even have the latest version of Nifskope. Now I do and that "havok" option shows up where it should but that still doesn't help me with the listshape or whatsit collision.

Edit: also disabled a couple of other mods that seem to mess up other mods. Well, in the case of the weather mod it's more a messing up of viewing distances. It's raining and awful lot and super dark at night but when it is a clear day, you can literally see for miles and miles and miles. Which just looks wrong, there's no atmospheric perspective at all. I thought it was caused by another mod, at first, but disabling that one made no difference, so I think it's the weather one. I'm guessing it removes all kinds of fog on "clear days".... Guess I'll see when next I play, rather than fiddle with various mods....

Shame I couldn't bet on it. Then again, this guy doesn't have a lot of money. My other character has a few grand (and I suspect you can transfer it through the bank) but none of that matters just yet.
And note that he's wearing some clothes here.
Just around the corner there were two people fighting with guards and NPCs again and it all got a little too close to me. I obviously can't get hurt cos this isn't a PvP zone (the only one of those I'm aware of is in Cyrodiil so I won't be going there in a hurry) but despite that I did suddenly feel the need to put on some armour with all these weapons flying around my head.

I do wonder if there's some kind of story later that requires you to start being aggressive to people in this place as there always seems to be someone trying their luck with a sword or staff.

Maybe they think it's good for combat practice?

Don't you hate it when you go to the bank and even though they have two people working there (for a change!) you STILL have to queue...

 

And despite my deposits I'm still struggling with inventory despite training/feeding my horse to get another slot. And yes, I'm back with the horse cos I don't really like the big bushy tail of the fox.
But I did find a quest about a possible free room somewhere, providing I have low to moderate homicidal tendencies.

Don't know what the hell that is but the orc woman behind it wouldn't speak to me either.
Let's leave them and go and make a potion or two just to get rid of some crafting materials from my inventory.

I have now installed racemenu which I thought wouldn't work for me (not sure why I thought that? ) and have played around a bit with all the extra sliders, which, in most cases, just makes you look broken.

It's possible to have too many sliders.
