Different character, different city, but same old idiots attacking the merchants.
Assuming you can see past my belly of course. Anyway this time the criminal with the green bar above his head didn't escape from the guards as I think I watched him get killed before he resurrected himself in a glowing blue way. I followed him around for a bit (at a safe distance of course) just to see if he's learned his lesson.
Then a few moments later another fool started a fight round the corner.
This place must be a magnet for crime or foolishness.
Still couldn't find the hooded figure around here so, just like with the other character, I guess I'm gonna have to travel somewhere else or I could do a few of the zone quests.
It's really quite odd the way that the story doesn't start straight away in this game.

Pesky Molag Bal and his dark anchors.
There are also three separate factions that are fighting against each other and the main story starts differently for each one.
My Dark Elf character is with the Ebonheart Pact and she's just been fighting off an attempted invasion/raid by the Daggerfall Covenant.
My other character is on the side of those Daggerfall people so it's probably best not to bring them together.

I'm sneaking all around Windhelm trying to get close to that Atheron woman to pickpocket a ring for ...erm... someone. Vex, Delvin, whoever.
Anyway I've finally, and silently, chased her around various little alleys and now I'm close enough in an area where no-one else can see me and... I reach out and....

Don't trust them.
Well, not these ones. And maybe not those ones. Or maybe... Ah, moral dilemmas.
And I forgot to put on the disguise which obviously led to more fights than I would have liked. But I thought the big half-dressed guy looked a bit pirate-ish anyway.
I also missed a chest too. I wondered why the person with me suddenly ran off to the right.
Oh, let them have the loot. My inventory is full anyway.

And it wasn't me (I did kill Hroggar, though, because he woke up and tried to kill me as I snuck into Alva's house she was at the tavern enjoying herself at the time, though...or I thought she was, but maybe when I killed Hroggar she turned angry and came running and the guards killed her? It sure wasn't the dragon, because she had some steel arrows sticking out of her back...)
