I successfully split the emitter and gave it a new particle system so he has eyebrows in the right place.
But for some reason they have an odd purple halo to them.

Don't know why.
After all that effort he probably looks better without them. :eyeroll:

purple halo = orc make-up :giggle:

It's not there in the Cycles renderer.
But Cycles is terribly slow and the outer eye layer still doesn't work there... for some reason! :shakefist:

I UV-ed without crashing.

Didn't bother with that UV grid thing again.
And that doesn't really matter anyway cos I'm only using a UV map on certain polygons with a multiply (or maybe colour burn) layer to add the warpaint on top of all the numerous vertex colour layers.
My first texture painty scribble was all red but he does look a bit God Or War-ish now so I may change that hue when I repaint it in some proper painty software.
But red war paint does look the best, doesn't it? :hmm:

Maybe I should go purple to match his eyebrow make-up.

And I think I may have worked out my pale nostril issue. My subsurface colour was set a bit too bright. :aha:

I've yet to have an inverted normals problem despite trying to join all kinds of odd meshes together. :P

Ended up with some flipped normals last night.
That'll teach me to gloat.
I was making a gold buckle for a wrist-strap and mirrored part of it while in edit mode and the resulting subdivision modifier went a bit crazy.
I also managed to subdivide that "soft" axe without ruining the vertex colours so that's looking a little better too. I now feel less pressure to do that sword instead. Still might try it though just for the practice.

Orc-Man now has some UV eye make-up and an earring to go with his buckled wrist strap...

He's gone all "Jack Sparrow", hasn't he?
Savvy?

Edit: Aaaaand I've worked out why the eyes didn't work in Cycles. It was the combination of the Transmission and Alpha settings. So I can now do my final render in Cycles... if I have 20 minutes to spare.

Poor guy. Couldn't he afford the water proof make up? Now everyone can tell when he's been crying.

If the mirror functions taught me anything... if he's got one then he's got two. :aha:
