Updates! Fixed up some stuff on one of my cgma assignments.

Finished the schoolism water assignment. It's not perfect but it is 10x better than what I had before.

Some anatomy fail. Going to treat these more geometrically than organically. These do feel more structured and solid. I feel like I'm getting certain nuances/bumps better.

More updates. Lots of figure practice/fail.

1967 Ferrari 330 p4. Really hard getting all those bevels, radii and fillets.

Cgma assignment on simplifying values thru cell shading. Really struggling with the hair.

More updates! Some anatomy fail. I'm really stiffening with my work and I'm trying to loosen up by doing some personal work. I think it's bc I do too many studies. How do you guys loosen up?

Schoolism assignment. going to be hard, applying all previous lessons.

I loosen up by using big brushes and going abstract and NO references. Just throw some big swaths of color of whatever I want and play with whatever forms pop into my mind for it. Have no plan, just do :) It takes some practice, but it really helped me. One line gesture work also helps me too. Basically anything that's very outside the way I want to work.

Good work though on all the sketches. Practice is the best way to get better at anything and you're certainly covering that well!

Updates. Some crappy sketches. Trying to loosen up and it's really hard. I think it's bc I draw such tight technical stuff. The struggle is real.

Anatomy fail. Going to toggle between studies and copying from photos.

Cgma assignment on values. Decreased the contrast a bit.

More fail. Cgma assignment wip on colorizing over values. The painting is not mine.

Schoolism update. Trying a new approach, using a funky brush to avoid going technical.

Thanks Thom! That's something I struggle with, sometimes I spend so much time planning things out and not actually drawing.

Gotta keep practicing figures. The fail level is over 9000.

I like your use of the funky brush, looks like has more depth already without changing values much at all :)
