I guessed as much from the "page 145" thing. And I do remember there existing books where you could choose the story by making choices along the way, but I can't recall ever reading such a book. I just knew they existed...

My poor limited childhood. *sigh*

Back with computer games for a moment...

Die, Zurks, Die!!!!
But I wish Doc would close that door a bit quicker. :shakefist:

And I've found that "other" can. :cheer:

You can do it with any book, it just makes a whole lot less sense

Some books may be improved by doing that.

But one of the other attractions of Fighting Fantasy books was the art. Those ink drawings of the creatures and the characters were my introduction to fantasy art and after all this time I still can't do linework like that.

Looks like Planet Crafter is out of Beta and 30% off (on Steam) - it's been on my wishlist for ages... (on either epic or GOG, can't remember which) and now there's a demo. So I'm starting by downloading THAT. :aha:

Edit: And I just noticed that my Palian bugs now have considerably more likes than my Palian character portrait, which I did not expect... (It's a well liked character - but then again there seems to be groups of fans for every character in game. Maybe if I had pictured him as an adult, all those romancing fans would have come out of the woodwork?)

Aand instead of playing that demo I decided to actually try Fallout 3 that I got for free on Epic quite a while back. But.... every time I click "Play" everything just shuts down? I mean that game, not every thing on the computer... :dumb:

Edit: Seems a lot of people have had this issue with Epic - and it was resolved by telling Nvidia to always use Nvidia because otherwise the game itself chooses to use another graphic setting that it doesn't work with. Not very clever of it, is it?

Older Fallout games are pretty buggy. I still have New Vegas installed and it took quite a few patch mods to get it functioning correctly.

Is that what's causing those Subnautica problems too?
I remember one of the possible solutions I saw for that was to "force" it to use the graphics card rather than the Integrated Graphics. :hmm:
