Speaking of Psychics, I saw Doctor Sleep the other night. It reminded me of why I still haven't finished reading the novel several months after I started it.

Because you fall asleep?

No, it's just a bit meh. It's a long way from King's best work, it feels like an odd fan fiction follow up to The Shining rather than something by the original author. And the film suffers from some of that regular Mike Flanagan clunkiness in storytelling that I've seen in his other stuff (there's even one of his awkwardly written monologues that made me laugh at a moment of supposed intense emotional drama).

Oh him.... Never heard of. Never seen the stuff listed as by him...

You mean apart from the stuff you have seen and discussed like the recent Midnight Mass 

I never.... ok well, I saw that one. But it wasn't listed in in the place I was reading!
