Or I missed it. And please tell me you agree that Sharif died before his son? A friend thinks that he survived but that we're supposed to think he didn't. Which makes zero sense to me...

Erm... Well, many years ago I was walking along the narrow lane on my way home when I saw a bird on the ground. A sparrow. Small and fluffy, quite young. I stopped and looked at him, and he looked up at me, and for a moment there was some kind of connection, some recognition in his tiny eyes. I bid him farewell and walked the rest of the way home. That night there was a thunderstorm, I lay awake as the winds howled outside, thunder loud and furious enough to shake the windows, before long I fell asleep and when I woke it was to a tiny tapping at the windows that had shaken so wildly in the night. I rose from my bed, curious as to the source of the sound. There at the window was the tiny bird I had seen the previous afternoon. We made eye contact once more. And at that very moment I was struck by a realisation so strong and clear. A thought more profound than any that has passed through my mind since. I realised right there and then that I was in the middle of a long and quite unnecessary monologue.

Is that you're way of saying there was a long and unnecessary monologue explaining stuff and I missed it because I wasn't paying attention?
