The Trailer Park

I got to the end of season one of Another Life last night and I still don't know who half of the characters are.
It's pretty much a one character show with Niko strutting through familiar scenes from other shows/movies while her family and crew do other things in the background. Everyone else feels like an extra with no real dramatic role to play. A few episodes back I actually had to google to find out who some of them were supposed to be and I've already forgotten.
At the moment I feel no real urgency to push on with season two but maybe I'll get around to it after a little break.

I know what you mean. It certainly is a weird one that doesn't really conform to the normal formats of TV shows and at times it's odd in ways I've never seen before or since (there is one particular bit which is jaw-droppingly absurd yet it somehow gets away with it in an amazing way) but the recurring themes of story-telling really pulled me into it and I ended up enjoying it a lot. Be warned, the "ending" is both brilliant and frustrating.
