does that mean you loved them?

*goes to google*

EDIT: 89? Isn't that a bit late for you guys to watch such shows?
We had "Anita och Televinken" which aired from 64 (yes, before my time) to the early 90-ies apparently. But I'm pretty sure I watched in the late 70-ies, possibly early 80-ies. There were a few other, similar shows as well. Mostly 70-ies stuff, I believe (or 60-ies to 70-ies).

Not too late? Geez, you must have really loved the show if you watched it when you were.... what, 15 or so?

Edit:`you're the pesky post editor ruining my clever dastardly response before I even posted it!

British people like to obsess over children's TV shows well into their 20s. It's an ironic studenty thing. :confident:

TV devolved into throwing food and slime over everyone as a replacement for actual creative programming. I am probably one of the few people my age that thought TISWAS (which started that stupidity) was a load of puerile crap (and I was the target age group at the time).

wikipedia has way too much text on that for me to bother reading, but that chair in the Graham Norton show comes to mind.... (as a possibly similar thing)

We were among the first to get cable TV in my town when I gre up. That must have been mid to late 80-ies... We got two British channels... Not that I can recall their names. Oh and MTV back when it actually showed music videos.... Anyway there was a Eurosomething with a presenter I think was named Nick. I liked him :P Then there was something similar on another channel with another guy I didn't care for. And I remember watching Hulk Hogan, Transformers (cartoon), Dr Who....

For me, TV took a dive when the "reality shows" started. Whenever that was...

Probably after they ran out of food and slime

Oh and while TISWAS kicked off in the UK we had "five ants are more than four elephants" :aha:
I think most people my age are quite sentimental about it :p It was educational, and funny. At least two of the three presenters were also doing comedies and stage stuff... (for an adult audience).

That would explain the ideas behind shows such as Survivor or Robinson (the latter might just be the Swedish version of the former, I'm not sure).
