As far as I recall I got out of the nightingale armor as quick as I could because I didn't think it very good :dumb:

Glass armour has slightly better defence by default, but lacks the bonuses to stealth and one handed attacks etc. That's why I have just stuck with it. It's also one of the better looking sets, so I can look cool as I sneak around unseen by people

I'm still comfortable with my Ebony gear but I do like the Nightingale stuff with the cape/cloak. Wish it had more dynamic animation though.

In ESO my elf character is mostly wearing Orichalcum armour in various styles but when I'm not fighting I switch it back to light robes, which probably hinders my levelling but I don't care for all that min/maxing stuff anyway. :P

And while I'm mentioning ESO outfits I might as well have a minor rant...
My favourite headgear in the game is actually the homespun hat that you get during the tutorial with Norianwe. It's a kind of hood that hangs and folds very nicely around the chin. Unfortunately it's only a level 2 item and unlike the stuff you loot/craft/buy later it has no style. Which means you can't craft a better more useful version. :(
Of course there are other hood-type things that you can craft but they're not quite the same design as they wrap a little tighter around the head and don't look quite as comfortable.
So I often end up wearing a hat that's way below my level just so that I can pretend my characters are more comfortable. :dumb:

And from what I just read, it depends on what level you were when you obtained it (or maybe started the quest  ) as to how good the Nightingale set is. I have no idea what level I was when I got it, but mine seems pretty good all round in comparison to any other light armour I pick up.

I can't recall what character I used when doing the nightingale thing, even. Perhaps it was a heavy armor one, though I don't think it was. :dumb:

And speaking of hoods I like getting that Torturer's hood in Helgen, it looks cool and is better than any low level light armor helmet. But it can't be enchan... or, maybe it can be enchanted? :hmm: It can't be improved like armor anyway. (Of course, that early any enchantments are crap anyhow.)

Completely unrelated I am watching another episode of sister Boniface and 1) dating via personals is obviously lethally dangerous and I will never plus 2) one of the men said he bought a woman a puzzle because "what else is there for them to do once they're past being fertile and attractive?" :shakefist: :stare:

Maybe I should get me some puzzles...

I was gonna play a bit of Skyrim after doing my quick ESO crafting but... Inventory slots! :shakefist:

Just spent an hour trying to manage my carryweights through various characters. After much deconstructing and researching and shifting things about through the bank I've now returned everyone to a manageable state and have now upgraded the backpack of my warder (twice!) so that she can now carry around the double-stacked items. And I've offloaded all my lower level armour sets after making sure to bind and learn them so that I'll be able to recraft them if I ever get to the level to do that sort of thing properly. :eyeroll:

Now off to Skyrim... :pirate: ...to try and stock up on iron for that new house building (even though I've enough for a quadruple stack in ESO!) Oh, and I should try to sort out that adoption thing too before the kids start whining at me again.

When you, once again, have to talk to Brynjolf in order to get anywhere with those gems but don't actually want to join the thieves guild or set that other guy up.

(I think I tried a mod that would let you not do that but it didn't work, or maybe I never tried it because it required something that wouldn't work...? Can't remember...)
