I thought it wasn't allowed to hunt guar...

It depends if someone owns them.

If you see them out in the wild you're ok (although everything you loot from a Pony Guar is considered stolen and must be laundered/fenced) but if you see them in a town or close to an NPC then you're probably better leaving those alone.

I was going to giggle and then I realised I was also going to complain about being stuck in a bloody cave and not finding a way out. I thought I couldn't get out because I was over encumbered and couldn't get to one of those stone pillars that go up when you step near them, in time to take it up to a door higher up. But I cheated and turned off collision and went up there and it was just one more piece of loot.

It's a mod added quest and the cave is over complicated and full of levers and pull chains and you can't always see what they do so I've no idea which one I should aim for to open to door back out. Guess I can turn collision off for that, too, though. It's also full of way too much loot which is way to over powered at my level but of course I can't resist. I mean, a bow that does 30% more damage than the best I've encountered so far? A full set of dragon bone armor? (and one of dragon scale)... I'm finding it annoying actually, but can't really do much about it now without going back to a way earlier save.

Oh f and was supposed to be in the laundry room almost an hour ago and then go visit dad and fetch something at the grocery store! Dang it!

Dragon bone armour?

I make sure to keep all the heavy dragon bones and scales I pick up in the hope of being able to craft that at some point but I think you need to have a very high level to get that working and after hundreds of hours of gameplay I'm still not good enough for that.

Yeah, you need 100 in smithing I think. I've stopped saving all the bones and scales, because I figure I can use the money early on, but I still have some tucked away.

By the time you have saved up enough components and levelled up enough to craft it, you could have already collected a full set by looting anyway.

Yep, probably.

Also, I compared the stats to my steel plate armour I already had and they were identical (though the dragon bone armor was all enchanted, so plus 50 carrying capacity, 40% better archery, 70 extra health points and 40 % better two-handed. I don't do two-handed on this character, though...)

It does look rather big and clumsy and cumbersome, though, but as long as I play in 1st person view I won't really notice.

Edit: I was considering saving it for later and keeping to my earlier armour but there doesn't seem much point if the stats will seem too low later. And I'll probably keep the bow too, even though it's very much better than the elven one I had. 

I'm still using the nightingale gear with one of two dragon dude masks I carry around for their bonus attributes/abilities. I haven't found anything worth replacing it with. Wish I could get rid of the icicles hanging around my feets (in game and in real life  ).
