And after all the trouble I went through to reinstall Wrye outside of the game folder it has now placed it's exe file BOTH where I put it and in the Skyrim game folder. I think it needs to be there. And I've no idea if all the other tools are placed where they should be or in the wrong place. Maybe it doesn't matter, I barely got them top work before, anyway.

Next, one of the "must haves" according to those who know such things, made Wrye Bash crash. Removed it and now it works again and so does Skyrim, but I got "thrown out" (it was still open in the background) so that I could get a message about how my save file (which I had just over-written) was deleted from my cloud drive or one-drive or some such. I'm not supposed to save games up there anyway. So how do I stop that, now? :hmm:

In the system tray by the clock there should be a one drive icon, right click on it and open the settings then under the advanced settings you can exclude stuff or switch it off completely.

This is why I constantly click "Remind Me In Three Days" instead of signing in to a Microsoft account. :)

And now the four main files (including the skyrim.esm file itself) are red in Wrye Bash and an error message is saying something about files not being found and localization being in the wrong language. :argh:

*bangs head against wall*

Oh and the computer has, entirely on it's own, decided that my username is "charl", which I don't like at all. :stare: But I have no idea how to change it. *sigh*

Dinner and TV for a bit, I think.

If you want to disable it completely, go to the account tab in the one drive window and click the "unlink this pc" linky.

Thank you!
Immediately on unlinking the computer it closed down and then pooped back up and asked me to either create an account or log in  but there was the little x in the corner, luckily.

I'm still getting several error messages that seem to focus on my address library being outdated, even though it's the only one available for GOG. And all the mods I've tried to install worked with it, before. I'll have to hunt down the culprit tomorrow, I guess. I had to go through the entire start sequence and run over to Riverwood again, because in spite of all the error messages the game started and I couldn't exit until after that first sequence anyway. Oh and the previous game I started yesterday so I wouldn't have to start more games, has poofed. Seems it wasn't saved locally when it couldn't be synced with the cloud or something like that. And I deleted all my other save games - the old ones that were downloaded FROM the cloud now I had to start the game via GOG again :stare: The ones I had deleted at least twice before, because they kept "mysteriously" reappearing. Well, I guess I at least now why they wouldn't stay deleted, now. They just kept whining about missing mods anyway.

Oh and while I don't recall having downloaded newer versions of anything - or that is, of the things I installed today (I did go through my download history on the nexus to see if any of the mods had been updated since I got them, so I guess I'll have to check that again tomorrow) some things were decidedly different. (The racemenu/character creation for instance had stuff it didn't have before but also lacked some things it did have, like duplicate sliders for a bunch of things... I guess maybe that was a glitch in my former install? :dumb: Then again, some of them had names like "eyes 2" - maybe I just haven't installed everything yet...) And the NPC's are way uglier than I remember so I guess I need to install some make-overs again.

And I haven't been ESO-ing today. I guess I should at least login for the daily reward...
