I have been thinking about adopting Sofie the next time she harasses me. And before that happens I've been thinking about getting that children replacement mod just so that I can tell the adopted kids apart.

I am certain. And I was pardoned and allowed to get away with it too 

Oh right, the baskets.. Well, I gave up on that and return it to the original. And I changed a mule texture. But like I said, textures don't break anything so if I reinstall those mods, the games will just load the original mod textures instead of mine.

And Banj.... I meant, are you certain we're pleased to hear you're now a man-eating hamster?

There's IS a slight difference between hate and ate...

Perhaps I won't install that Children Overhaul mod after reading about all the bugs.
Just play the game instead.

While off assassinating giants I was approached by a well armoured thief but thankfully they didn't attack me and instead did the thing where they recognise me and happily give me the gift of lockpicks.
She then sprinted off away from me and was quickly attacked and killed by a distant frost troll.
 
"Thanks for the lockpicks anyway!" 

Might as well go and loot the body. Be a shame to waste the goodies and it's only a frost troll.
And as I ran up and killed it with the jumpy axe attack I found out that my new(ish) and current follower Valdimar can do magic spells.
Sadly his aim isn't very good cos he hit me with two of his Ice Spikes.
 

Never had this trouble with Borgakh or Brelyna.

Edit: And I had a productive session on ESO completing nine writs for over 3k gold and I managed to do three endeavours AND I found two oko runes which finally allowed me to get rid of that lingering enchanter's job.

Which children's mod are you considering? I have the RS children one (though you have LE and I have SE, right? So I can't really vouch for bugs anyway). I opted to make the heads slightly larger at install and now I keep feeling they're all tiny waifs with too large heads. And there's one in Riften (I don't think it's a vanilla one) which seems to have too short arms and way too small hands... Some of the other children added by mods also have way too shiny hair. Not sure if that's because of how the two mods interact, but it doesn't look great. Still, I don't think I have any actual bugs, with them...

Yeah, I was looking at the RS children mod. Unfortunately the original one was abandoned by the creator with several known bugs and lots of other people have been trying to fix it ever since. There are sooo many extra patches to potentially download and the main one of those also prefers you to have a "new game" install. There's also a separate version of the mod that's a backwards port of the already-ported SSE version but that seems to require extra hair textures and maybe the LE patch too which I can't run with my current savegame.
There was another mod called TK but that looked awful and then I found another one that looked better but for that you had to install the TK one and start manually deleting specific individual files.

It all seems like a bit too much trouble.
