After a day of constant headache with no pain killers doing any good, I finally got some Skyrim in - and seeing as I have rested most of today I allowed myself to stay up a bit late too...

So I have finally met Balbus. Alive. And had a chat about The Gourmet.

I found Treasure Map II, which I hadn't come across before and which I've already forgotten where I got it from. But I did get the treasure

My pro-stormcloaks character has also managed to set off the war with Whiterun. But that's where I am stopping for today.

I think I have three treasure maps but I can never remember which ones I've solved.
I know I've done the one near Whiterun because I tried to find it again last week after looking at it in my inventory and was disappointed to find the chest was empty.
The resulting sense of deja vu seemed to tell me that I've "solved" that one several times.
I've also been thinking about getting Faendal to be steward of WIndstad. I'm sure he gets tired of chopping wood and if I take him away then I won't have to worry about him dying when the dragon comes to Riverwood.
Of course in order to get him to come with me I'll have to ditch Borgakh again. I'll make sure she has enough clothing this time.

Meanwhile I now have a creepy companion in Alien...

So we all know how Banj likes to not be able to save things. Well, I forgot to keep saving and ended up dead towards the very end of the friggin' quest and had to start from the very beginning. And now, being in a bit of a hurry, I tried to drink a potion while a guy was still talking.

"You cannot eat quest items"

Exits that menu and...

"Drink the potion"




Edit: I get to the same point and.... the same orc kills me again. For the same reason. (Tab worked a couple of times, but then suddenly it didn't and I couldn't open the inventory to take a healing potion... I think it's the ~ button for you guys... but Tab for me.) Luckily this time I had saved on the way....  

 You can't blame me for you not saving. Well, you can, but that still doesn't make it my fault  

I'm not, I'm just saying saving every now and then is GOOD practice, no matter what you think. So there.

I'm not against saving though 

But you think it makes it less interesting or whatsit when you have the security of a save... You did say something like it. (And I caan understand it to an extent, I just hate having to do the same things over and over.... though funnily enough not when I create a million different characters to play the exact same quests with... )

I said it's dependant on the game and it's objective. In some cases limited saves (and things like permadeath) enhances the experience, in others it's irrelevant how much you save. Like many things context is important. 

In other news, after several months break I returned to Death Stranding a couple of evenings back. I went to *someplace* and *did something* which ended up with me going to *someplace* and *doing something else*. I now think I am close to the end (which I wasn't last time I thought that, as I pretty much just opened up a new area, but this time... this time ). Things have happened.

Did the baby grow up?

I don't care about context. I care about chocolate. I'm all out, too.
