If I uncheck "presets" in the attributes section of the filter why do I keep seeing preset mods??? :shakefist:
And why do people see fit to remesh and retexture ONE CHEESE WEDGE? Seriously? No wonder there are thousands or tens of thousands or whatsits of these mods to sort through.

Not sure what the actual point is...

It's all about the screenshots. :)

Do you mean the filter on Nexusmods?

Not sure I remember what that bit looks like. The site is very different on my tablet anyway. :dumb:
I usually tend to just click Popular (All time) when browsing and the suggestions in the search bar are often better than the actual search.

Yeah me too, but there must be loads one misses too... I want to be able to browse through what *I* have filtered out, say player homes or mods that affect how players and NPCs look, without everyone's "this is my 'OP'" presets, or their savegames or whatever else shit they think will interest someone else.

:pout:

And just to make Banj roll his eyes again, I also had some "fun" with Skyrim mods the other night in between Geralt's frustrating cliff diving.

After enjoying the introduction of the Nightingale Armour and that lovely cape/cloak I started looking at cape mods, especially the ones that use the HDT physics plugin that makes them flap around more convincingly.
I installed the HDT thing first and then Vortex had a little tantrum about the previous mod, that Nelthas follower from a few weeks back, and then my current savegame didn't work properly.
It was all down to the fact that I'd changed the follower mod in the Creation Kit to give him a more suitable voice and Vortex didn't recognise it any more.
Lots of disabling and uninstalling and reinstalling occurred but I managed to fix it, although he's now back to his old voice. And now I probably won't bother with the cloak thing.

I can't remember if I've mentioned these before, and maybe you've found them already, but seeing as you like refurbishing your houses you should check out Jaxonz Positioner, Decorator Helper and Placeable Statics. :confident:

I've looked at Jaxonz positioner and renamer (or some such) but decided against them. Maybe I tried to istall the positioner? Can't even recall. But either it had a dll file or there was something else... I always check for recent bugs before downloading since many of these popular mods haven't been updated since SE... I did install the SKSE but I think so far I haven't found a mod that actually uses it and works when I try to install it with Wrye. I wanted to try the race menu thing for improved customization but that one has dll files, so that was a no no.

And regarding the Populated towns etc one, I might get rid of it again. All the women seem to have the same face and none of them have much dialogue yet all of them seem to insist on speaking, so there's a lot of "Hmm?", "Want something?" and "Yes?" all the time. And if you try to speak to them they get annoyed and go "I haven't got all day!" Maybe I should try the Interesting NPCs one instead. Can't recall why I didn't (well, first time it was because it took too long to download so I cancelled and went to bed... but then I considered it again and ... maybe decided against t because I mixed up populated cities with the Total character makeover? :dumb:

I also got a weather one (I think I said - but I have just experienced a very convincing thunderstorm, although before that the sky and moon looked weird for being much crisper than the landscape in front of them...) and one that will make characters annoyed if you wake them up (and everyone gets out of bed faster if there's a fight, both you and enemies) as well as one that should make citizens run and hide indoors if there a dragon attack. Which is only sensible. At least if you have a stone house to hide in. Anyway, I haven't seen the effects of these two yet.

I also did install a small cottage/shack one but I haven't visited it yet.

Have you ever heard of "Interact" aka The Decorating - Furniture Building - Cabin Building - Camp Making - Corpse Management - Trophy Making - Realistic Storage - Collectibles Money Sink - Face Washing - Immersive Gear Displaying Mod?
It has a bit of that "too good to be true" about it, but it might be worth a try to install, just for the ability to build your own shacks wherever you want but still with using money/resources from the game rather than console magic.

That's crazy!

It's like a completely different game within the game. I don't know how these modders come up with all this stuff. :)
And you can wash your face? :giggle:

EDIT: And even though I hadn't heard of it, I DO have one of that creator's other mods. I have the Missives one that gives you extra random side quests and that one has always worked fine.
