The Epic mobile store currently has Little Nightmares as this weeks free game 

And the non mobile store has a couple of others. One was a dungeons and dragons thingy, I think. The other... uh... turnip boy robs a bank? Sounds like the title of a children's book. Except they usually don't teach bank robbing.

I was already carrying some things that Dogmeat could equip, such as a skull bandana and welding goggles (doggles)...

Also google told me that there was a cave with some dog armour nearby to where I was currently walking very slowly so I popped over there (very slowly) and...

 

Hmm, not that impressed with the dog armour.

I didn't give him the teddy bear cos I don't have it at the moment. I remember now I had stored it at one of my bases to keep safe for when I buy the house and start decorating (can't afford it yet. ) so I'll pick the teddy up when I get there and I do have to go there to dump more of this heavy stuff that's slowing me down. I think some people there are unhappy about the number of beds, which is odd cos I know I crafted five beds and put them in the necessary places. I wonder if something has happened while I was away. Or are they so stupid that I have to tell them where to sleep?
And I think I need to return to that farm base to build them some turrets. Everybody wants something from me but I just can't get there quick enough yet.

Well, I've made it to the farm base. That one was closest. And as I approached I got the message that they were under attack!
Better get there quick and... Oh, yeah.
I'm coming to help as fast as I can.
And there's another storm. Back into the suit!

After finally getting there I managed just a single critical shot on a Toxic Raider. Many Raider corpses were on the ground.
"Thank you for your help," the farmer said.
Oh, you're welcome.
Is everyone else still alive? I'd better walk around (slowly) and check who's still here. And then make you those turrets that you need.

I guess you can always do away with your own meat and bones. That'd free up some weight. Then again, I guess it might also reduce your carry weight Drastically, probably.

I have lots of meat of different kinds, all radioactive, but no bones.

* Apparently they meant, why isn't anyone doing anything about the grove, which wasn't exactly clear from the question. Once they clarified they got the same answer about waiting for 3 am, from several different people who apparently didn't bother checking if someone else had already replied. Just like social media.
