I tend to think of "dumpling" as anything that's made into a "bundle with filling" and then specific shapes, fillings and whether it's only boiled or also fried or whatever gives them specific names.

I've been playing the Outbound demo today. It's a fairly simple seeming and cozy game, perhaps a bit on the boring side And the colours are a bit too garish for me - it's a good thing you don't actually see your own character (except your hands). My driving skills in game are rather horrid (even though it's just W for forward and D/A to turn) so it's a good thing there's no other traffic. Though I do worry I'll hit one of the bunnies eventually... Val will like this, though: You can feed berries to the bunnies and then pet them

Basically you're driving around in your camper van, finding stuff, unlocking blueprints, collecting resources and "expanding your base" (camper). You can pretty much build a house on top of the car it seems. I haven't tried yet, though.

The world seems a bit abandoned - you can find stuff and notes left by others and take stuff that should be theirs, but it doesn't have any apocalyptic vibes beyond that. I kind of like it, but like I said to begin with - it is a bit on the boring (uneventful) side.

Anyway just got into a bit of a bar brawl and now- Hey, wait a minute. Is that an astronomically accurate sky on my cowboy game?

 

And as it got darker I could see... Get out of the way, Arthur. It's the Milky Way!

 

It may be a poor frame rate and an old graphics card but it's still a better view than I get with with my telescope in real life.

PS. It crashed after this while I was trying to play that stabby hand minigame.
And it crashed badly in a scary way.

But my wide armoured friend ... will not get in the elevator.

 

We need to be in the elevator to finish this quest. Please try and squeeze in. Please.

LATER ON:

I'm over-encumbered.
Dogmeat is over-encumbered.
My wide armoured friend is back over there. I don't really want to join them just yet even though I'm sure he won't be over-encumbered.

So It'll be a long slow walk to wherever I go next. Hope there isn't a radioactive storm outside.
Oh.

Dogmeat needs a suit

I've given him a collar.

I think there may be some doggie armour later in the game but I haven't seen any yet.

Collars might work against fleas but I doubt it helps against radiation. (Yes, I know, it's a super dog. I still think he needs a suit.)

Just been googling and apparently Dogmeat plays with teddy bears if you give him one.

I have a teddy bear too (along with some toy aliens) so I know what I'm doing next time.
