Earlier today I managed to start Skyrim via the skse loader, instead of GOG. It was quite funny in a worrying way... It started with the usual chat in a wagon, and everyone was swaying about as the wagons and horses.... stood stock still. I didn't see what happened when they were supposed to reach the village as it closed down immediately when I pressed Esc - it usually doesn't, so I didn't really expect anything to happen.

And now I have verified/repaired it on GOG and it's playing and.... the horses and wagons are not moving.



Edit: Seems it's probably connected to the mods activated via wrye bash that I can't access without starting up wrye bash so I guess I need to start the old one up and disable all mods before running the game and installing the updated WB. It's always something.

edit2: Or not. I guess I have to keep goooooogling.

I'm glad Vortex still works for my Skyrim mods.
That version of Wrye Bash seems unnecessarily fiddly.

Not sure it can be blamed on WB since GOG acts up too, and the skse loader... I'd have just left everything as it was if I wasn't tired of the reminder that there's a newer version (which only exists because of starfield so it's not like I actually need it.

Also, not sure where my game saves are. Apparently wrye saved them somewhere I didn't copy to the external drives before sending the thing off. ("The thing" being my stoopid computer)

Not related to gaming but I just had to go through a delayed Windows update and...

Oh, no. I've forgotten about that floofy hood I got from that recent event.
I'll have to do that one tomorrow cos I want to play something else now.

After uninstalling and reinstalling the game, the wagons and horses now move again. And all those old cloud saves that I keep fighting to get rid of, are back again. As are the save files I thought I had lost. Maybe they were somewhere in the my documents folder? They certainly shouldn't have been in the gog cloud...
