That is a downside, then again that's pretty cheap compared to most games these days.

Elsewhere... Batman is surprisingly rubbish against shooty people.
And I can't do that Dodge-The-Stabby-Knife move either. Thankfully I can take a stab or two and just beat them up anyway but the shooties are a bit more awkward and many deaths occur before I work out the best plan to take them out silently one by one.

Do you mean disarm with the claw?
I have tried that a few times but in the heat of the moment I seem to end up attracting other shooty people who shoot me in the back while I'm dealing with this shooty person.
Also in the middle of big fights I do have problems selecting all the many different gadgets with the DPad. At the moment my best tactic is to ignore all that and just be patient to take them out quietly but it does sometimes take ages for them to stupidly walk to the position where I need them to be in order to swoop down.

Ah, there he is, in the little chariot thing. Senu comes in useful for spotting them from above while I'm hiding in the trees way behind.
This guy's much closer to my level- and he's alone, unlike that other guy I fought back in Alexandria ages ago who had a little gang- and to be honest I think I could actually take this fellow...
But not today. Like I said before being interrupted, I'm making my way to... Memphis. There's quite a few little side quests going on there and I have to talk to someone in that beautiful, massive temple (but I'm struggling to find the papyrus in there) and while I'm there I think I might-

And Senu spots him again while I hide behind a wall just off screen to the left.

Forget about assassinating for the moment, I'll just continue playing Egyptian hide and seek for now.
