Gaming

I've been having a look through my Epic library to try out something different the last few days. First I had a go on Black Book which seemed to have an appealing art style...
 
The story seemed interesting enough, even with the occasionally awkward voice acting, but the control system was dreadful and then... I realised that between the clumsy "walking about" bits it's really just a turn-based card game.

So that idea went away and today I tried out the early part of Alan Wake and his ongoing quest to find some light...
 
And I quite liked the first hour or so. It played a bit like Max Payne but mixed with a little of the mood of The Shining. I fear that the search for batteries for his flashlight may become a potential frustration. Where are rechargeables when you need them?

Found the dino park.
I went back to try that race again (and won it this time. ) and made sure to pay attention to some road signs and it is near Dallas. I thought it was but I needed to be a little further south than I'd previously thought.

And while I was in that area I was prompted to recreate another movie...
 
This one took a bit more effort as I struggled to find a steep enough hill to do a high jump to make it look good. Annoyingly time was passing and the moon was setting but I managed to nail it before it was too late.

This weeks Epic freebie looks interesting 

Oh I was planning to get it I think. Thanks for reminding me. Wait, it... oh it's past 5 pm It IS available now.

Edit: There are two, which one were you referring to?  
(I got the galactic survival one, but I guess I'll take a look at the other to see what it actually is before I decide against it)

I'd have thought you'd be interested in the "souls-like" game too. I assume that's referring to "Dark Souls" or whatsits, that you've played before? If I recall correctly...

Yeah, I got them both (I usually get everything they give away regardless), but the Empyrion one was what I was referring to given that most people in this thread have played similar games.

Most people? Is that 2 out of 3 or all 3 of us?
