Googling Prey and...

"Prey is a prequel and therefore designed to be watched after everything else "

I finished The Creator last night and the ending wasn't quite as good as the setup. The ideas and the visuals were much better than the actual story but it was still enjoyable and interesting to watch.

I vaguely remember watching Prey a while back and I sort of recall it being better than the sillier Predators. It felt like they were doing their own thing with the story instead of relying too heavily on familiarity with previous films.

Another ET derivative (but this time with Grogu in it because that made money for Disney)

I thought that some of the scenes looked a bit like Simon Stalenhag's work and after a quick Google I see that it is based on his stuff.

But I'm very tired of Chris Pratt.

It's supposedly based on his book of the same name, I have no idea how they ended up with an action comedy

Have you seen Tales From The Loop?
I quite enjoyed those and they seemed to capture the mood a little better.

I started watching Tales from the Loop, but I never finished it.
