I'm currently watching the old Conan The Barbarian and it's surprising how little dialogue it has. At times it's almost like a silent movie.

Sounds kind of peaceful. But knowing Conan, it isn't...

Also wouldn't be a good movie for crocheting as you would have no idea what was going on just by listening

I think a lot of that was down to casting Schwarzenegger in the lead role. I know it's hard to believe now, but at the time he wasn't an actor, and had a thick Austrian accent

Decided to watch a horror movie, The Invitation, but I keep getting distracted by the female lead's nose ring - the little reflection of light under her nose in all the dark scenes just makes it look like she's got a runny nose...

Edit: Being out of chocolate is also proving terribly distracting  

Edit2: I'm starting to see why it's a horror movie. I've never experienced a manicure scene that felt so unsettling... (Not that I can recall any other manicure scenes )

I'm getting confused as to whether it is a horror movie or a comedy. Maybe it's a horror comedy?
I think I need to look it up.

Edit: nope. Listed as horror/action. It has had a few spooky hints of sorts, but nothing very horrorish, and there's been no action whatsoever. Mainly a vague feeling that the people who made the movie have never met an Englishman and have a rather weird idea of what would be considered normal behaviour in England... 
(Or maybe I'm the one with the weird idea, thinking Englishmen aren't all that different from other people...)

According to this movie it's still perfectly normal to have butlers, kill your maids, suck blood off of the fingers of your guests and to announce the guests loudly while everyone's applauding. Not to mention having three wives, apparently - because that makes you immortal. I'm not entirely sure how one of the wives died if she was immortal but it's all kind of weird anyway.

And there has been a few minutes of action, I guess you can call it. Sort of.

Well. That was like someone tried to make a girlpower version of a Dracula story without story. Maybe I should've followed Val's example and just slept through it...
