Today I was trying to do a smoke simulation for the rocket plumes showing the path of the ship leaving the planet but it's very hard to do simulations at this kind of scale. The domain becomes far too large and the necessary resolution causes much slowness. :pout:

But I've just seen another video that does it much quicker using the Mesh-To-Volume modifier and I'm now wondering if that would work for me. I've never even noticed that option before so I hope my version of Blender can do it. :dry:

I really, really hate "tutorials" where they change lots of settings during the edits and don't tell you about it. :pout:

You then have to trawl through all the YouTube comments (:argh:) hoping that someone somewhere mentions the Very Important Thing that you were supposed to do halfway through. :eyeroll:

I've put one of the rocket trails in, only one so far, and now Eevee crashes when I try to render. :cry:

It displays in the viewport but... :dunno:
