I intend to make a flowerpot
So I decided to check whether there were any specific plants used as potted plants in the middle ages and there was. Gillyflower. And every single bloody picture of that darn flower looks like a completely different plant. :stare:

Edit: I guess I'd better just do something simple and generic and unidentifiable like the plants already in the game.

Edit2:

Edit3: I think I got some of the blue over on the green... Will have to fix, tomorrow.

I didn't fix it "tomorrow" but I did fix it today. Turns out I had my brains elsewhere and had airbrushed blue all over the dang thing and then flattened the image, so I had to repaint both the green for the leaves and the pink for the non-blue flower....

...and also, as usual, I might have gotten a bit carried away with the number of small tables... :pinch:

That's a nice selection of pots on your too-many-tables. :)
I like the variety in texture too, with the sharp specularity on some and the duller light reflecting off the green one. Makes them look very touchable.

Not 3D but it might become, one day... I had fun making the rainbow challenge stained glass picture so today I made some possible tainted glass windows for founders fortune. Well, the outlines of some potential ones. Should I ever decide to make something like a church mod. Which isn't terribly likely, really. But it was fun anyway... :)

I've been spending the last few days messing about in Blender (and watching videos) in an attempt to create a procedural blue planet, maybe with an idea for the blue-related challenge in mind. :)
Doing the layered clouds and shadows is easy enough after following various different tutorials but trying to get that atmospheric glow at the edge is soooo hard. Many of the tutorials cheat this bit and fudge it with a blur node in the compositor or link to an infinitely more complicated 20-part video about volumetrics.
But today I was fiddling with the Fresnel node and a gradient colour ramp on another outer sphere and this one doesn't seem quite as bad as previous efforts.

Still not sure if I'm gonna do anything with it which is why it's posted here rather than the wips thread. Turning it into a picture will probably need me to model a spaceship or rocket leaving that atmosphere (Out of the blue? See? :P) and I'm not confident about that.

Well it looks rather convincing as a distant planet to me :)

Hard-surface modelling is so very difficult. :pout:

My attempt at a space plane thing is not going as well as I hoped.

Hmm. Which UV unwrap function worked without overlapping again?

*tries to remember that X-Wing from the Star Wars challenge*
*can't remember anything at all* :dumb:
*searches through previous posts instead*
