I'm really liking the one that interacts with the pattern background. It makes it more than just a portrait and takes it beyond the reference to become something much more interesting.

Mine went very bad today so... bit of challenge pic and bit of Skyrim instead. :)

Another creepy looking kid...

...they always look a bit sinister when I do them.

I think I went a bit too dark with the skin. It was tricky with the little hood creating shadows on the face. Perhaps I should have just ignored the ref and gone for a paler transition. :hmm:

Oh, well.

Kids ARE creepy and sinister! (Just look at that Twilight baby in the video you posted the other day!)

EDIT: And speaking of creepy kids, though I think Swedish TV shows a slightly different version (or I just haven't paid attention) this kid gives me shivers. Like he's the son of Satan or something. (And when i googled to find the video I realised I'm not alone)

That one is so creepy that it made me go back and work on that shading for 10 mins. :)

One edit later and... it still looks creepy, but not as bad as that video. :P
I think the awkward voice over doesn't help. :nope:

I've always (previously) seen it on TV without sound, but just the way he turns and looks at his "mom" like he's gonna kill the whole family in their sleep. *shudders*

Yeah that childs a bit spooky to me too, but I do love the way you've handled the guys glasses, especially the way that rear lens disappears into the background.

Heres my effort for today, which was actually yesterdays daily ref. but I've been away with work and now need to catch up.

Lol I’m not sure what they are but that sounds as good as any idea I came up with. In the ref they were wall lights behind him. Here it is (so you can see what an awful job I did likeness wise!)

Not awful at all, but the lack of a hat or top of a head had me a bit confused... I figured the glowy marshmallows were sort of floating out of his head :P
