Yup that was the idea.

The likeness looks fine to me. I'd be overjoyed with that!
I liked the one with two faces too. Those kind of pictures always seem to have movement and life to them.

Todays Sktchy drawing - slightly less overworked - hated that plasticcy feel of my last one! A much better colour palette too!

They both look good to me, although I see what you mean about the previous one. I think the colours are fine, it's just that the shading on the nose and forehead look a bit flat. The second one has much clearer and consistent form to it though.

Hope you're in bed by now Val!! The Faerie type nonsense looks good to me. I do think theres parts where the 'blur' is a little uconfusing but the flames are great and you've got that translucent appearance to her near hand spot on!

Much better than my attempt today - not even going to post this on FB or IG.

I was trying to play with saturation and warm/cool but I think I failed miserably....oh well there's always tomorrow.
Edit: ok so I posted it because I’m desperate for the likes! JK. I’m Experimenting with hashtags right now after some advice from a friend.

The bottom face is good but the top one is absolutely wonderful. Beautiful structure and expression.
For the bottom one I think the eyes could use a bit more light in them. I realise that they were probably this way in the ref but a touch of specular highlight and maybe some more subtle light catching the top edge of the lower lids would help to make both faces equally good.

And look! I'm not in bed!
