General Scribbles

Yeah, it's not fun when things are the same colour as the background.
But it was the facial structure I had the most trouble with. The facial hair and the hat shadow made it hard to find the right shapes and landmarks to make it look credible and I just lost interest after a while as I really wanted to play some video games.
It was a lovely photo though so it was worth having a go.

I actually thought it was at first. ... But is her right though/hip too high up and off-angled from her torso/stomach alignment? Doesn't seem to connect well, or is over torqued to the side too much?

Either that, or her left leg is sitting too high up, creating this? I can almost see it working better without seeing that leg, or more like the hand, under her other leg.

If all that makes sense?

There's almost a hand there at the bottom, but when you zoom in... it's really not much of a hand.
And I did indeed erase another hand from the hip.

The legs were arranged that way in the ref but I may have exaggerated the curves and tension. The worst part for me is the "knee" of the extended leg. Knees are weird lumpy things that are very hard to get right.

Yeah, knees are not a favorite of mine either. And it's not an easy pose, even with the ref. I think that the left leg coming from under the other, then foreshortened back under her is quite easy see wrong. Again, even with the ref. If anything, maybe you show the connection a bit higher, but I see it's quite close.

No knees, no hands.

...No brainer.
