I do find it hard when people crop the heads off pictures and you have to fudge the anatomy and proportions. :S

well if your references are posting nudes of themselves online I'm not surprised if they do cut their own heads off. From the pictures, I mean... Are you getting your refs off of reddit? (That's the impression I'm under but it never seizes to amaze me what kind of imagery people actually post of themselves... well, some people like being "seen" of course, but it seems more common than I'd expect.... :dry:)

Edit: and I think the above water skin in the image looks very good btw, but I find the water a bit confusing. Like maybe the image has been rotated? Or something.... it doesn't quite feel like a more or less flat surface....

Yeah, it is another Reddit ref and people do post the strangest pics over there. :dry:
And you're right about the water and rotating. I was trying to be a bit more abstract with the viewpoint so that I could play a bit more with colours. :)

Still wish there was a head though. It makes things much easier when you don't have to invent stuff.

I agree, I like ripples in it, but where it lays or connects with the skin, it looks like it would be hard to get right. Almost like fabric to a degree presently, or see-through sheet. I also don't think I've ever tried to do it myself, so can't say for sure, but just guessing it might be tricky indeed. ... But the skin tones and rendering are great.
I get sketchy around pencils! ...=D

Looks pretty good to me.
I didn't do any late night stuff. Just very early morning. (I woke up at 2 am and got back to sleep about 7 or so?)

My late stuff finished after your early stuff started. :lol:

This one was tricky with so much of the girl's face being hidden. It made it tough to work out the structure and angle of the head. If it hadn't been so late/early I would have continued to fiddle with the nose and distant eye. :S

But Time declared it was finished. ;)

Also so obsessed with skin texture that I botched up the structure of the nose. :facepalm:
