I did a little something today! :woohoo:
It's nowhere near all those wonderful birds that wonderful bird artists do, but it's not as bad as it felt it was gonna be when I started it :P

(Also why does my dad has to be so.... unappreciative... of artists he doesn't know? When I first said I liked Fantasy and Sci-fi art he was "better enjoy it while you can, it's just a fad after all". That was like 20+ years ago. The other day, though, I showed him some bird paintings by Vanessa Foley on Instagram and instead of saying she's good he just says "The style is very American" - American is bad. American is capitalist bastards country.... Dad's a lefty, see, politically speaking.... Everything America is bad.)

EDIT - I should probably include the little picture, too... :dumb:

Great work on the texture of all those feathers! And the reflected light in the eye makes it look really alive. So thank you for actually posting the picture in the edit, it would have been an awful tease if you'd left it out. :lol:

And if that other artist has an "American Style" then I wish I had it too. My owls don't look like that. :dry:

I was gonna do a bit more of my challenge pic tonight but I got distracted by this thing...



...not sure it was worth it but I can't go back and change my mind now. :P

I was hoping to finish the last two episodes of Bridgerton tonight but I got a bit distracted while messing around in ArtRage. I ended up with this and now only have time for one episode. :pout:

There's a lovely light in it, though :) (but maybe her legs are a tad short? Or the outstretched arm a tad long?)

Yes to all of that. Plus I think the head is a bit too big which draws attention to all the other issues too. :giggle:
