General Scribbles

...and one of those Saturday things.

Very pouty and freckly and very errrr.. Saturday(?).

I really don’t know how you do those pencilly sketchy things! All that line work would take me ages, I’m slow enough with a large round brush!

Here’s my next NHS thing (and probably my last) I want to get back to more personal stuff.

WIP obviously, please excuse the messy background and the boys face.
Still not got the likeness but this has taken me waaaay too long and I’m worried they’ve already given up on me. I’ve had to flip the guy as when I repositioned the boy from below the bottom of the canvas it looked like they’d all turned their backs on him.

That's a tough reference with the strong backlighting but you're handling it well. And that's a terrific expression on the kid's face.


And I wouldn't go so far to call those pencil-style pictures "linework".
It's really just frantic scribbling with a fat finger. I wish they were a bit neater but...
