I don't know what it is about Reddit and nose-rings. It seems like every second person over there has one. And here's another.

Awesome! By the way do you add the make-up/tattoos yourself or are these direct copies? If added yourself you seem to have a flair for make-up design Val.

Much as I'd like to take credit for any thing that's deemed to be good, I'm sad to say that all that good stuff was in the reference .

And now that you can compare I'll admit that the likeness could indeed be better and I think some of the colours have gone fractionally too dark/harsh but it was a bit of a rushed afterthought after I wasted 2 hours on a different, failed painting that's now filling my recycle bin.
I may add some correcting tweaks to this sometime next week if I get chance.
Oh, wait, it's Easter, isn't it? So I'll probably forget after overdosing on chocolate.

PS. And they don't really count as hands. I'm not even pretending that they do.

The tedious chore with double portraits is getting both faces to match in style and detail, and I think that's where this fails.
I was initially happy with the loose brush strokes of the baby but in the subsequent struggle to get the likeness of the woman I ended up with more detail in that face.
If I was a competent person I would then switch back to work on the other one but I'd had enough of baby-face.
