Thank you, Jessie. :)
Although I'm not sure about "leaps and bounds", it feels more like "stumble and slip" but at least I'm falling forwards.

And I agree with Charlotte!

Well at least you two appear to be standing, I feel more like I'm still crawling.
Really like your characters and they are definitely more then vaguely recognizable, especially your Benedict. Also your update of Kreacher is very nice, great work with the wrinkles.
Keep stumbling forward.

Some random internet nudity from tumblr to practice some anatomy, and it includes a face so it can go in this thread.

Armpits and elbows are difficult :( and I've done the head a bit too big but I've been nice and censored it.

 I'm pretty sure it's not the head you censored....

Looks like a good study to me - especially her hair and face. Her arms and legs look a bit scrawny for my own likiing but I'll assume that's the model :P

 Yes that last sentence needs a bit of work. I have a very poor relationship with punctuation. :)
Where's a proofreader when you need one?

The model was even scrawnier in the ref :( but I liked not having to do the hands. :P

Shame on you - if you don't like painting hands you should paint more of them ;)

Well said Charlotte! I spent 3 weeks or so painting nothing but hands - and saw some improvement. That said my reference for Sun Wukong (greatest name ever btw?) shows only one hand though I am adding hands to the end of his legs too.

Great work though Val - especially like the bony elbows, the weight of her muscle hanging below her left arm and the form and colour of her hips.

Edit: By like i mean the way you've rendered them - I prefer a little more padding on my women generally

A couple of quick things from familiar references, (and still no hands :P)

Albert...

...and Jimi Hendrix.

Jimi Hendrix! WOW :cheer: Theres a beautiful quality to his skin with the imperfections and highlights and I love the way you've rendered his hair. The detail around his eyes and the texture of his lips is IMHO some of the best work I've seen you do. I mean Einstein is great but that highlight on Hendrixs collar, the sepia tone and the shifts between focus across the image really elevate this one. Good stuff!
