Gave my new dodo the care it required. I think.
And now that I've removed the bodies I have 10 live ones strutting around in that little pen.
I think I may free a couple of them to roam around the island. Maybe the oldest, Adam and Eve. They've earned a bit of freedom.
After that I went exploring inland. There is a little bit of non-cave obsidian a little further up from the south coast, not loads like the mountain areas but enough if I can find it. I've worked out the coordinates too so I went a-flapping up river with my GPS in hand. Saw a few Iguanadons, those feathery claw beasties and a long nosed one that I've never seen before. Didn't seem too aggressive whatever it was. And then I saw a big Spino slapping things around.
I kept well out of its way and then saw a pack of three large dinos round the corner...
Hmm, Allosaurs, maybe? Their little handies are not little enough for Carnos and the heads aren't big enough for T-Rexes.
I settled down on top of that big rock ledge and watched for a while. The red Spino got quite close to them but didn't want to attack (which is rare for them) so the pack must be dangerous.
I didn't really want to stay too long on this outing but the ledge did seem a great place to scout and spy from and I think I could have got a few shots off safely without anything getting up there. Looking at the GPS I'm still a long way from the obsidian but I think my Pteranodon's stamina will hold out.
